What this tool does

Vinted's help centre is explicit: there are no fees for selling on Vinted. Instead, the buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee at checkout on top of the item price. This calculator therefore shows your full sale price as your payout, and nets off the costs that are actually yours — the item's cost and any shipping you pay yourself instead of using a prepaid label.

How to use the Vinted Fee Calculator

  1. Enter the price your item sold for.
  2. Add any shipping you paid out of pocket.
  3. Add what the item cost you to see your real profit.

Frequently asked questions

No. Vinted's selling-basics help page states there are no fees for selling, and listing is free. The platform earns from the Buyer Protection fee the buyer pays at checkout.

A buyer-side charge added on top of the item price at checkout, covering payment processing and purchase protection. It doesn't reduce what the seller receives.

Because the Buyer Protection fee and shipping are added to your price at checkout. A lower list price can offset that in search comparisons, but your payout is always your set price.

Usually the buyer pays and you get a prepaid label. You only bear shipping cost if you arrange and pay for postage yourself, which is why it's an optional input here.

Optional paid features like item bumps or wardrobe spotlight are marketing add-ons you choose per listing — they're not per-sale fees and aren't included here.
