What this tool does
Generate quick-pick lottery number sets in the exact current formats — Powerball (5/69 + 1/26), Mega Millions (5/70 + 1/24, the April 2025 format) and classic 6/49. Generation only; no odds content. Formats as published in October 2026: Powerball 5 from 1–69 plus Powerball 1–26; Mega Millions 5 from 1–70 plus Mega Ball 1–24 (the format since its April 2025 relaunch at $5 per play). A generated set is a random pick, not a prediction — every combination is equally likely.
How to use the Lottery Number Generator
- Enter or select game.
- Enter or select number of sets.
- Read the calculated result; change any measurement to compare alternatives.
Formula
Each set samples its main numbers uniformly without replacement from the game's pool and sorts them ascending; the bonus ball is drawn independently from its own pool, so it may match a main number, exactly as in the real two-drum games.

Worked example
Sample set: a Powerball quick pick might come out as 7, 14, 21, 35, 60 with Powerball 9 — five different main numbers between 1 and 69 in ascending order, plus one Powerball between 1 and 26. Your set will differ; every valid combination is equally likely to be generated.

Frequently asked questions
Powerball draws 5 numbers from 1–69 and one Powerball from 1–26. Mega Millions, since its April 2025 relaunch (first new-format draw April 8, 2025, at $5 per play with a built-in multiplier), draws 5 numbers from 1–70 and one Mega Ball from 1–24 — the Mega Ball pool shrank from 25 to 24 in that relaunch. This generator encodes both current formats.
Real tickets print main numbers in ascending order and players check them that way, so sets are sorted for easy copying. The draw itself is order-independent: the set {7, 14, 21, 35, 60} is one combination however it was drawn.
Yes. The bonus ball comes from a separate drum and pool, so a Powerball of 21 alongside a main number 21 is perfectly valid — the same is true in the real drawings.
No — every combination is equally likely, and this tool deliberately includes no odds or prediction content. A generated set's only advantage over birthdays and patterns is that fewer other players share it, which matters only for splitting a prize, not for winning one.
With crypto.getRandomValues and rejection sampling — the browser's cryptographic random source — sampling the main numbers without replacement so no main number can repeat within a set.
