What this tool does
Calculates VAT for each EU member state from a static table of standard and main reduced rates. Selecting a member state also selects its currency for display; amounts are never converted between currencies.
How to use the EU VAT Calculator
- Enter the amount in your own currency.
- Choose whether the amount already includes VAT or not.
- Select the applicable rate and location.
- Read the net amount, VAT and gross total; copy or print the result.
Formula
VAT = net × rate/100; net = gross ÷ (1 + rate/100)
