Build your QR code locally

No upload or network request — the code is generated in your browser, so Wi-Fi passwords and contact details never leave your device.

Your QR code is ready — scan it with a phone to test before printing.

Payload: https://mastertool.dev

What this tool does

Create a QR code for a URL, plain text, a Wi-Fi network or a contact card and download it as PNG or SVG — generated entirely in your browser. Generation happens locally with the qrcode-generator library — your text, Wi-Fi password and contact details are never uploaded. Higher error correction (Q/H) survives more damage but makes a denser code; very long payloads may exceed QR capacity and the builder will tell you.

How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. Enter or select text or url for the qr code.
  2. Read the calculated result; change any measurement to compare alternatives.

Formula

The payload (URL/text, a WIFI:T:WPA;S:<ssid>;P:<password>;; string, or a vCard) is encoded to a QR symbol per ISO/IEC 18004 with Reed–Solomon error correction by the qrcode-generator library, rendered locally to canvas/SVG in the builder below.

Worked example

For qr code generator, the following measurements illustrate the exact method: Text or URL for the QR code: https://mastertool.dev.

Inputs

  • Text or URL for the QR codehttps://mastertool.dev

Result

  • QR codeUse the QR builder below to choose the payload type, size and error correction, preview the code and download it as PNG or SVG.

Frequently asked questions

Choose a payload type in the builder below — URL/text, Wi-Fi or vCard — fill in the fields, pick a size and error-correction level, then download the result as a PNG image or an SVG vector file.

Select the Wi-Fi type and enter the network name (SSID), password and encryption type. The builder formats the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:your-network;P:your-password;; payload that phones recognise for one-tap joining.

M (15%) is a good default. Use Q or H (25–30%) if the code will be printed somewhere it may get scratched, dirty or partially covered by a logo; use L (7%) for the simplest, easiest-to-scan code on screen.

PNG is a pixel image that drops into documents, slides and messages. SVG is a resolution-independent vector that stays sharp at any print size, which is better for signs, packaging and large-format printing.

Yes. The QR code is generated in your browser with a local library — the URL, Wi-Fi password or contact details you enter are never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.
