What this tool does

Runs the eBay Australia fee stack — category-tier final value fee, per-order fee and the 1.1% international sales fee — then subtracts what you paid for the item and the postage you actually pay, so you see real profit per order in Australian dollars.

How to use the eBay Profit Calculator

  1. Leave the eBay country set to Australia; amounts are in AUD.
  2. Enter the sale price and the postage you charged.
  3. Add any GST included in the order, since eBay's fee applies to it.
  4. Pick the seller plan and category tier, plus the delivery destination for the 1.1% international sales fee.
  5. Enter what you paid for the item and your actual postage cost.
  6. Read the total fees and your payout.

Frequently asked questions

Many resellers target 30–50% margin after fees and costs; use the margin output to test prices before listing.

This tool shows per-order fees. Subtract your plan's monthly fee separately across the month's sales — AU$27.45 Basic, AU$82.45 Featured or AU$604.95 Anchor.

eBay displays its fees including GST; the GST in the buyer's order goes to the ATO, not to you.

Under AU$25,000 in trailing 12-month sales you pay no fees, so profit is simply price minus costs.

The final value fee applies to postage too, so undercharging postage cuts profit twice.
